You have seen these statements.  You will answer “5. Strongly Agree.” 


In fact, I’d bet my
Borsalino hat on that answer!  Why?  Because these statements are the centerpiece of what’s called the Likert Scale (that’s Rensis Likert, the developer, pictured above).  Basically the Likert Scale is the cornerstone of any serious marketing effort and has been for decades!!!  If you want, learn the technical stuff here.  But what you really need to know is that the scale works because it does a great job of figuring out people’s real attitudes about products, services, whatever … In other words, it helps a marketer figure out a customer’s needs –and that’s what it’s all about!!!
